Parents of Casey Anthony to Appear on “The Oprah Winfrey Show”

The parents of murder suspect Casey Anthony will appear on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in May for their first national interview since the remains of their granddaughter, Caylee Anthony, were discovered in December.

Casey Anthony is facing first-degree murder charges in the death of her two-year-old daughter Caylee yet she maintains her innocence. The 23-year-old mother has told investigators that she dropped Caylee off with a babysitter and when she returned to pick her up both were gone.

That story quickly fell apart as investigators questioned why Casey waited more than a month before reporting Caylee missing and they then discovered evidence that pointed to her involvement in the June disappearance.

Cindy and George Anthony are expected to discuss their granddaughter’s disappearance with Oprah as well as the prosecutions focus on their daughter, Casey Anthony. The first-degree murder trial is set to begin in October.
