Story Time and Activity Event for Children at The Salt Cellar Bookstore

Bring your children to The Salt Cellar Bookstore from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on April 25th for an exciting story telling event with activity sheets and more.  The address is 3801 NW Cache Rd # 23, Lawton, OK 73505.

 

Children will experience the story from and activity sheets inspired by Bert Ballou’s new book Anthony’s Amazing Journey.  This inspiring illustrated story will capture children’s attention and have them laughing and having fun. 

 

Anthony’s Amazing Journey is the story of a journey as seen through the eyes of a donkey foal.  During the journey, Anthony learns about bravery, trust, and friendship.  Overcoming obstacles like shyness and being small is size; Anthony learns how life changing it can be to serve something greater than him.

 

A native of Lawton, Bert grew up on a farm in the shadow of Mt. Scott.  After graduating from Elgin High School, and later Cameron University with a degree in Theatre Arts, Bert began his own journey.  Covering everything from retail to landscaping to two seasons with Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, to acting in and producing community theatre, Bert uses this varied knowledge to create stories for children (and adults).  Bert Ballou has dedicated this book to his seven nieces and nephews and four great-nieces and nephews.
