At
least 20 people have been killed after a bus and a gas tanker collided in
western Peru causing the two vehicles to burst into flames.
The
bus had been traveling from Lima to Pisco with about 30 passengers when it struck
the gas tanker on a motorway near the Canete area, about 100 miles south of the
capital.
Witnesses
said they saw a large fireball as the bus and tanker collided and then both
vehicles turned to flames as only a handful of passengers managed to make it
out.
