Mold/IAQ Course Approved by the CILB for CEU’s is launched at FRACCA Conference

Attendees received instruction on the historical viewpoints of indoor air quality, characterized the various indoor environmental microbiological contaminates (e.g. mold, dust mites, bacteria, etc.), and methods of investigating and collecting samples for analysis.

Pure Air Control Services presented an educational Indoor Air Quality – Addressing Your Customers Concerns workshop at the Florida’s Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association’s (FRACCA) annual educational conference at the Caribe Royale Convention Center held on April 3-4, 2009 in Orlando FL.  Attendees of the 2-hour IAQ workshop (approved by the DBPR Construction Industry Licensing Board (CLIB) # 0003199/0010889), received continuing education credits (CEU’s) for attendance and participation.  The course is also available to all contractors in Florida.

Dr Rajiv Sahay, CIAQP, FAIS with over15 years of experience in analytical research pertaining to the biological and indoor environmental sciences and an expert in handling various kinds of air samplers presented the IAQ workshop. He is one of the designers and developers of the famous Bio-Scan ™ a standard protocol for surface sampling. He has authored publications covering Aerobiology, Microbiology, and Environmental Biology as they relate to indoor air quality.
