Registered dietician Jayson Hunter offers some healthy eating tips for people when they eat out. He believes that you can eat out provided you follow some simple healthy eating tips.

1) Start with a salad – A good salad can make you feel full and is low in fat but high on vitamins. Ask for the dressing or sauces on the side or in a separate bowl, which will give you control over how much to add.

 

2) Avoid cream based foods – When you order pasta or soups, stay away from the cream based ones. Cream based dishes have high fat content and more calories. This is easily one of the best healthy eating tips.

 

3) Skip the desert, opt for a fruit salad – If you want desert at the end of your meal, skip the desert and opt for a fruit salad. It is a healthy option with more vitamins, minerals and fiber.
