California brings 555th franchise on Board for Engel & Volkers

European franchise brings renewed interest to real estate industry

Engel & Völkers has just assigned its 555th license with the signing of the license region for Beverly Hills, Bel Air and Westwood by Michael Giorgio. According to Mathias Bode, President of Engel & Volkers California, "Beverly Hills is one of the most sought-after real estate markets in the US and it fits comprehensively to E&V’s brand image. We expect a vast awareness of our arrival on the west coast due to this exciting milestone."

Michael Giorgio plans to open his first Engel and Volkers residential real estate shop in July 2009. According to Giorgio, he chose Engel & Völkers for two specific reasons. One reason was the Engel & Völkers fresh, innovative and cutting edge approach to the business. Secondly, for the passion that the entire organization has when it comes to their business model.

"The customers are truly the beneficiaries of the E&V system. The due diligence required for each property can only lead the customer down one path ... the path of selling the property! The E&V system clearly demonstrates that every E&V Agent understands there is a difference between listing a property and selling a property. We're not satisfied until our customer is!" said Giorgio.

Bode expressed his satisfaction at the rapid growth of new Engel and Völkers franchises in California despite the poor housing market. According to Bode, "The timing for rolling out the E&V brand in California is perfect. Brokers and agents are uncertain about the economy as well as the existing real estate franchise model. The international Engel and Völkers brand, coupled with the only shop franchise in real estate, offers a solid business solution to forward thinking real estate professionals.”
