U.S. Government to Regulate Carbon Dioxide Emissions

Answering a call from developing countries to step up and take a leadership role in the fight for environmental protections the United States government has announced it will begin to regulate carbon dioxide emissions.

The move comes after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that carbon dioxide as well as five other greenhouse gases could cause serious health concerns for people.

Environmental groups have long sought to place regulations of carbon dioxide yet they ran into numerous setbacks in court while President George W. Bush held office.
