Dillon Gage Metals is a proud sponsor of the Chicago World’s Fair of Money, to be held Aug. 16 to 20 and organized by the American Numismatic Association. The event, housed at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill., is in its 120th year and is the nation's largest coin show and convention.
“We are very pleased to sponsor this year's World’s Fair of Money, which is expected to attract more collectors than ever--all of whom can enjoy national and international exhibits and educational programs,” says Terry Hanlon, president of Dillon Gage Metals in Dallas. Dillon Gage Metals is one of 27 sponsors of the fair and is a title sponsor.
Dillon Gage Metals manages two-way markets in bullion and rare coins and hundreds of other precious metals products, including bars and grain. ”We provide strong bids and competitive pricing on everything from unique coins to semi-numismatic items,” Hanlon says. “Our specialty areas include expertise in circulated and certified silver dollars.”
In addition to rare coin trading, Dillon Gage Metals is engaged in precious metals trading and refining, stone removal, and jewelry and estate liquidations.
Hanlon says Dillon Gage Metals understands the needs of numismatic collectors and dealers--which can be as unique as the coins they seek. “We carry an extensive inventory of rare U.S. coins, gathered from our network of dealers, electronic trading systems and trade shows,” he says.
“Our goal is to excel in all of our services and to build relationships with clients that last a lifetime,” Hanlon also says.
The fair's 220,000 square-foot bourse includes areas to view U.S., world and ancient coins and paper money. Experts from Dillon Gage Metals, along with other numismatic dealers attending the show, will provide free, informal appraisals for visitors who bring in old coins and paper currency.
At the fair's Mint Promenade, featuring coins from 18 mints across four continents, visitors can purchase coins. Mint representatives will discuss new issues at the World Mint Theater on the bourse floor. One of the fair's attractions will be a U.S. Mint booth, offering a number of current, collectible products.
The U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing will provide a “Billion Dollar Display” of high-denomination money and demonstrations of its one-ton, hand-operated, Civil War-era money- printing press.
Dillon Gage Metals, along with the fair's other sponsors, will have their names and logos displayed on the welcome banner at the bourse entrance and on bags and literature distributed to the show’s visitors. Show hours are 9 AM to 5:30 PM daily. Admission is free for ANA members and $6 for non-members. Children aged 12 and under are admitted free.
The American Numismatic Association is a U.S. Congress-chartered, non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging the study and collection of money and related items. ANA helps its members and the public explore the world of money through its museum, library, publications and educational and outreach programs.
