ACO brings cornhole to the Kentucky Derby Fest at the Kroger Fest-a-Ville on the Waterfront,
Louisville, Kentucky on April 25, 2009. The Derby Fest is the Commonwealth’s premier festival with over 1.5 million people ready to celebrate Spring.
The American Cornhole Organization will be part of that celebration with a four person DerbyHole Cornhole Tournament at the Kroger Fest-a-Ville location, on the Louisville, Kentucky waterfront. Team makeup is a minimum of two amateur cornhole players on a team, and limited to no more than one ACO Pro Player or Pro Caliber Player, or no more than two Semi-Pro ACO Pro Players or Pro Caliber Players on a team.
Four Cornhole Tournaments will make up the DerbyHole Cornhole Tournament. Two Doubles Tournaments and two Singles Tournaments will be going on simultaneously. There is an “A” Division Tournament for the best two players on a team and a “B” Division Tournament for the amateur players on a team. The further a team advances in the tournament the more points the team earns. The winner will be decided at the end of the last singles match around 6:00 PM.
The DerbyHole Cornhole Tournament is limited to 64 teams early signup is recommended. Cost is 120.00 per team. Walkups will be welcome, if slots are still available, on day of event with team sign up by 11:00 AM.
