The
Boston Celtics will look to rebound from a shocking Game 1 loss to the Chicago Bulls
on Saturday as the two teams square off at TD Banknorth Garden on Monday at
7:00 p.m. ET.
Despite
owning the worst road record of any playoff team, 13-28, the Bulls managed to
capitalize on the absence of Kevin Garnett and stunned their hosts 105-103 in
overtime after Ray Allen’s last second jumper failed to drop for Boston.
The
Celtics will have to find an answer to Derrick Rose who had a remarkable game
in his first post season appearance with 36 points and 11 assists. As solid as
Rose was with the ball the Bulls also dominated the glass as Joakim Noah pulled
down 17 boards.
Boston
will have to hope Paul Pierce and Ray Allen find their stroke on Tuesday. Allen
was a brutal 1-12 from the field on Saturday and Pierce finished 8-21 and also
missed a free-throw at the end of regulation that would have given the Celtics
a one-point advantage with seconds left.
Game
2 of the best-of-seven playoff series will tip-off at 7;00 p.m. ET.
