Detroit Lions Unveil New Logo, Gives Team “Sense of Mission and Direction”

The Detroit Lions are doing everything they can to erase the memory of an 0-16 season and that includes giving their longstanding logo a significant facelift.

Detroit’s new look logo is more defined than their previous logo as it now reveals an eye, teeth and paws and looks to be pouncing rather than playing with a ball of yarn as the old logo appeared.

According to the team the change was made to symbolize a “sense of mission and direction.”

That direction will be better understood next Saturday as the Detroit Lions hold the number one overall selection in the NFL Draft. Many believe the team will select quarterback Matt Stafford from Georgia.
