Two Teens Kidnapped in New Orleans Found Dead

The two teenagers kidnapped from a New Orleans apartment over the weekend have been found dead inside an abandoned house.

After receiving an anonymous tip police discovered the bodies of Fitzgerald Phillips, 19, and Calyisse Perkins, 19, in the abandoned house in New Orleans’ Gert Town section. The two had been forced from an apartment early Sunday morning and taken in Phillips’ vehicle by their captors. A ransom call was placed using Phillips’ cell phone but no more communication was made.

Police have arrested one man, Kenneth Barnes, and charged him with aggravated kidnapping, possession of stolen items and other crimes. Investigators are still searching for at least one other person tied to the crime.
