David Kellerman, Acting CFO of Freddie Mac, Found Dead in Suspected Suicide

David Kellerman, the acting chief financial officer of Freddie Mac, was found dead in his Northern Virginia home Wednesday morning in what is being called an apparent suicide.

According to reports Kellerman’s wife found him in the basement shortly before 5:00 a.m. and called Fairfax County Police. No other details Of his death have been released.

Kellerman, 41, had been with the struggling mortgage giant for 16 years and served as the acting CFO since September. Over the past eight months Kellerman had been responsible for overseeing Freddie Mac’s annual budgeting and financial planning processes. Just last month Freddie Mac reported a $50.1 billion loss.
