World Health Organization Suspects Swine Flu in at least 60 Deaths in Mexico

The World Health Organization has said it suspects at least 60 deaths in Mexico have been caused by the swine flu and that more than 800 others have been infected.

According to the WHO the majority of the cases have appeared in Mexico City with a few remote cases have been documented in rural areas.

Mexico’s Health Minister Jose Angel Cordova addressed the recent health scare saying, “We're dealing with a new flu virus that constitutes a respiratory epidemic that so far is controllable.” To curb an outbreak several schools in the affected areas have been closed while officials have urged people to avoid large crowds.
