The Cleveland Cavaliers held serve at home in their best-of-seven Eastern Conference playoff series with the Detroit Pistons and on Friday night they’ll look to take a commanding 3-0 lead as they head to the Motor City.
Cleveland has dominated both games thus far, never trailing by more than two points while establishing leads of 20 points in Game 1 and 29 points in Game 2. The Pistons have had no success stopping LeBron James as the MVP candidate is averaging 33.5 points per game and totaling 21 rebounds and 13 assists and he has had solid support from Mo Williams, Delonte West and Zydrunas Ilgauskas while Joe Smith has been a big help off the bench.
Detroit has struggled to get their stars going as Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince and Rasheed Wallace have provided little on the offensive end and if they don’t get started on Friday they could find themselves in a deep hole. Defensively the Pistons will need to slow down LeBron, either forcing him into perimeter shots or taking away his ability to hit an open man.
Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
