NBA Playoffs Western Conference Schedule: Dallas Mavericks Look to Put San Antonio Spurs in 3-1 Hole

After splitting a pair of games in San Antonio the Dallas Mavericks manhandled the Spurs in Game 3 and will looking to grab a commanding 3-1 lead in Game 4 on Saturday when the two in-state rivals square off one more time.

The Mavericks surprised the Spurs in Game 1 with a 25 point effort from Josh Howard and a 19 point game from Dirk Nowitzki but Game 2 was a different story as Tony Parker took things into his own hands and dropped 38 points on the Dallas defense in a 21-point win to even the series.

Dallas got their revenge in Game 3 as they blasted San Antonio, holding Tim Duncan to just 4 points and Parker to 12 while Nowitzki and Howard once again picked up the scoring for the Mavs. Playing without Manu Ginobili has crippled the Spurs perimeter game and they can’t afford another 32 percent shooting performance (Game 3) if they are to have a shot on Saturday.

Tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m. ET.
