Professional cornhole players from 10 States are headed to Cincinnati for the region’s biggest cornhole event.

On August 26 & 27 Monster Energy will sponsor the American Cornhole Professionals in the region’s premier professional cornhole tournament.

This two day cornhole event, part of the Tailgate Bash, a fundraiser for Easter Seals Work Resource Center features the first two rounds of the tournament held on August 26 at Turfway Park, Florence, KY. The tournament begins at 11:00 AM. All participants are ACO Professionals traveling from 10 states with one goal in mind -the grand stage, August 27, Fountain Square, Cincinnati.

“Professional cornhole is really taking off as a sport across the country, I’ve never seen competition this intense,” said Frank Geers ACO president. “With big tournaments across the country, our players love to compete in this premier event. There is nothing like playing this game in the center of the city where the sport was born.”

Competitors come from South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Illinois, the TriState, West Virginia, and other states to battle for the $7,500.00 purse. This invitation-only cornhole competition is cornhole like many have never seen. It’s certainly something to witness. The final matches promise to be great cornhole.

”We’re thrilled to host Cincinnati’s premier professional tournament at Tailgate Bash. It’s a Cincinnati sport that deserves to be played in the heart of the City on Fountain Square,” says, Pam Green, Easter Seals WRC vice president, development and community engagement. “This event really captures the nature of Cincinnati and its residents: We’ve found this to be true of ACO and its pros who have become great friends to our organization and the people we serve.” Easter Seals WRC was among the first organizations to host Cornhole tournaments as fundraisers, beginning with a recreational tournament in 2002.

The 2011 Monster Energy World Cornhole Tournament is Free admittance both at Turfway Park and Fountain Square. Bring the family, support a great cause, and enjoy the sport of cornhole at its pitching best.
