St Louis Rams Select Jason Smith with the No.2 Pick in the 2009 NFL Draft

The St. Louis Rams opted to bolster their offensive line as they selected Baylor’s OT Jason Smith the No. 2 pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.

St Louis is coming off a disappointing 2-14 record in 2008 and are hoping the 6’5”, 305 pound Smith will provide protection for their quarterback Marc Bulger while opening holes for Steven Jackson.

The Rams selected defensive end Chris Long with their first pick in the 2008 NFL Draft.

Detroit selected Matt Stafford with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.
