The San Francisco selected Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree with the No. 10 pick in the 2009 NFL Draft on Saturday.
San Francisco is coming off a 7-9 season and wanted to establish some offensive weapons in the offseason and Crabtree was considered the best wide receiver in the draft. Crabtree slipped to No. 10 after the Raiders opted for Maryland’s Darius Hayward-Bey with the No. 7 pick.
The 49ers selected defensive tackle Kentwan Balmer with their first pick in the 2008 NFL Draft.
