Washington Redskins Select Brian Orakpo with No. 13 Pick in the 2009 NFL Draft

The Washington Redskins selected Texas’ defensive end Brian Orakpo with the No. 13 pick in the 2009 NFL Draft on Saturday.

Washington is coming of an 8-8 season and have clearly shown that they wanted to improve their defensive line in the offseason as they signed Albert Haynesworth and now grab the 6’3” 265-pound Orakpo to bolster the line.

The Redskins did not have a first round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft.
