San Diego Chargers Select Larry English with No. 16 Pick in the 2009 NFL Draft

The San Diego Chargers have selected Northern Illinois’ defensive end Larry English with the No. 16 pick in the 2009 NFL Draft on Saturday.

San Diego posted an 8-8 mark in the 2008 campaign and made the AFC playoffs and with plenty of tools in place the presence of the 6’2” 255-pound English should complement an already impressive defensive line.

The Chargers selected Antoine Cason with their first pick in the 2008 NFL Draft.
