Narconon of Georgia Gears Up for National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month

Narconon of Georgia gears up for National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month preparing for more calls and program participants.

Narconon of Georgia prepares to handle an increase of inquiries and intakes in anticipation of September for National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month as additional outreach is done to spread the word.  Volumes of information about the highly successful Narconon Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation program are being released to the parents and loved ones of those abusing drugs, including prescription drugs, or alcohol or all three. Happily, in many cases the calls come in from the addicts themselves who have found the information and want to change.

“We deliver a highly effective, comprehensive program at Narconon of Georgia that has been achieving fully recovered individuals for 44 years. In addition to getting people off alcohol and drugs, our program includes detoxification to get all the drugs or alcohol out of their systems that helps prevent cravings.  This is followed by a series of classes to help the client get to the root of why he/she became an addict in the first place and to teach life skills to help them stay clean and make good choices,” says Mary Rieser, Executive Director for Narconon Drug Rehab in Georgia.

Rieser goes on to say that the Narconon Drug Rehab program’s success rate, that is 4 times higher than the national average, is the result of the comprehensive series of steps and classes the clients does and its aftercare program.

An aftercare program is uniquely tailored to the individual and encompasses several areas: Support systems, Lifestyle changes, Educational planning, Financial planning, self-enhancement goals, Relationships, Living arrangements, and Social / Spiritual development. It is not uncommon for the family of the client to be involved in this section and might actually be an active participant in the aftercare plan. Each client varies so there are no set requirements for the family involvement. Then, qualified Narconon staff follow-up with each client on their personalized aftercare program and help to ensure progress being made.

Narconon of Georgia, located in Atlanta, is a private non-profit agency that is licensed by the State of Georgia.  For over a decade they have provided Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation and Recovery Services to individuals throughout the nation that are dealing with alcohol and substance abuse.
