Lakers Derek Fisher Gets Restraining Order Against Stalker

Los Angeles Lakers guard Derek Fisher was granted a temporary restraining order Monday against a 40-year-old woman who has allegedly stalked him since in the 2001-2002 basketball season.

According to court documents, Symone Fisher, who changed her last name to match the basketball star’s, sent numerous e-mails, messages and letters to Fisher claiming to be his wife. She also began visiting the Lakers’ training facility and showing up near Fisher’s home.

“Her repeated attempts to contact me, her delusional notions that we are married, her angry and hostile tirades against me, her appearance at my place of work and her recent travels near and around my place of residence are all extremely frightening to me,” Fisher, 34, wrote in court papers.
