Baghdad Rocked by Three Car Bombs, at least 41 Killed in Sadr City

The Iraqi capital of Baghdad was rocked by three car bombs on Wednesday that has left at least 41 dead and several more injured. All three bombs were said to have gone off in quick succession, leaving people little time to find cover.

All three car bombs exploded in busy markets inside the Shia district of Sadr City, raising fears that Iraq could return to sectarian violence as the country has seen a spate of suicide bombings that have targeted defined sects.

Last week the Shia community was targeted in several suicide bombings at markets and holy shrines. Those attacks left at least 150 people dead.
