After handing the New Orleans Hornets a 58-point loss in Game 4 the Denver Nuggets return to their home court with a 3-1 advantage in their best-of-seven Western Conference playoff series and are looking for the knockout blow on Wednesday night.
Denver won the first two games of the series on their own court and did so comfortably, leaving the Hornets a tough task as they face a win or go home showdown. Chauncey Billups has been the talk of the series thus far and for good reason. The veteran guard didn’t have a turnover in the first two games and poured in 36 points and 31 points in the wins.
The Hornets fought their way back into the series in Game 3 as Chris Paul led them to a two-point win and pull them to 2-1 in the series but Game 4 was just embarrassing as the Nuggets took advantage of a club that quit. Now the Hornets will have to bounce back from the embarrassing loss and steal a win on the road if they are to keep their season alive.
Tip-off is set for 10:30 p.m. ET.
