The first case of swine flu in Georgia has been
confirmed. A 30-year-old Kentucky woman is hospitalized in LaGrange, Georgia
with the deadly virus. No other details about her condition or identity were
revealed.
Georgia’s public health chief says more cases are expected.
Lamar county officials are taking precautions and preparing for a possible
outbreak in the LaGrange area.
People who suspect they may have swine flu are advised to
stay home and call their doctor. Symptoms are very similar to regular flu and
include fever, cough and sore throat.
Swine flu has spread to 11 states. Only one death has
been reported.
