High Success Rate with Drug Rehab

The Narconon program has brought new-found stability to getting results with drug rehabilitation.

In 1966 William Benitez started the Narconon drug and alcohol rehabilitation program behind the walls of Arizona State Penitentiary. More than 43 years later the Narconon program is still producing thousands of graduates and achieves a 70% success rate for permanent sobriety from addiction without using any replacement drugs.

In a recent video released featuring Benitez, made more than a year after the Narconon drug rehabilitation program was founded the recipe for recovery is simple. “Well we at Narconon have a certain something,” says Benitez, ““that before a person can pull out of narcotics or any difficulty, the only way he can get out of the pits would be that he become more able – he has to have greater ability.”

That premise of improving abilities has been part of the central core of the Narconon program for over 43 years. The way that the Narconon program helps make people more able is by handling both the physical and mental aspects of addiction through a sauna detoxification program that removes toxins from the body that are left by drugs, thereby eliminating physical drug cravings.

Once the physical addiction symptoms are eased, the program uses life skills therapy to handle the mental and emotional components of addiction to restore the addict back to his former self and help him to be an ethical, contributing member of society. Benitez himself was not only the founder the program, but used the methods to handle his own addiction to heroin.

Today the Narconon technology is not only used in prisons all over the world through the Criminon program but network of Narconon Drug Rehabilitation centers has grown to 150 centers in 50 countries. And with more than 25,000 graduates stably off drugs since 1995, William Benitez would probably be overcome with joy to know the program he founded in has helped so many people.
