Manny Pacquiao too much for Ricky Hatton Knocks him out Cold in Round 2
Manny Pacquiao knocks Ricky Hatton to the canvas with
a left hook. The Fighter Ricky Hatton appeared unconcisuos upon impact from
Pacquiao’s debeletating blow.
The two rounds were one shy of Freedie Roach’s
prediction claiming Pacquiao would knock Hatton out in Round three.
Here is how the fight played out:
ROUND 1: Hatton is the aggressor to begin
Round 1. Hatton backs Pacquiao into the ropes.
ROUND 1: Pacquiao's guard is up. He is using his jab
poking it at Hatton, Pacquiao lands a
right hand as Hatton moves forward. Hatton swallows a brutal left hand but
takes it well.
ROUND 1: Pacquiao lands another right hook. Ricky
Hatton ties Pacquiao up.
ROUND 1: Hatton is being pummeled with a barrage of
punches. Hattons face is changing colors
going to a deep shade of red leaving Hatton forced to hold.
ROUND 1: Pacquiao jabs then lands a left.
ROUND 1: Hatton takes a left and then falls face
first to the canvas.
ROUND 1: Hatton beats the count but he is visibly
miserable with suffering pain.
ROUND 1: Pacquiao lands a right hook. Hatton's
nose begins to bleed.
ROUND 1: Hatton misses with a hook and fails to
defend Pacquiao and eats a right.
ROUND 1: Hatton is down again for the second time
in the first round.
ROUND 1: The bell rings to end Round 1. Hatton would
be better off staying in his corner, he already looks like beaten.
ROUND 2: Hatton comes out and lands a right hand.
Pacquiao ties up Hatton.
ROUND 2: Hatton ties up when Pacquiao tries to
step away from Hatton to move out of range.
ROUND 2: Hatton is his again with another hard
left hand by Pacquiao. Hatton is clearly hurt again. Hatton doesn't have his legs
under him.
ROUND 2: Pacquiao contines to hit Hatton with
ease.
ROUND 2: Hatton continues to move in and hold
being warned to let go. Pacquiao continues to box working with his right hand.
ROUND 2: Hatton is trying to stay alive and do
what he can working on his counters. But Pacquiao keeps coming leaving Hatton with
no choice but to hold on.
ROUND 2: Hatton comes up with a left, followed by
a right hook to the body.
ROUND 2: Pacquiao lands a blow to Hatton who is out.
It's over! Pacquiao knocks out Ricky Hatton at 2:59 in the second round.
ROUND 2: Hatton is out cold.
Ricky Hatton declined to be interviewed after the
fight claiming he was too hurt.
