The international 30-year-old Germany-based brokerage Engel & Völkers is expanding its U.S. operations by opening locations on both sides of the continental US.
Recent openings along the east coast include Scarsdale and Southampton while offices in Manhattan are on the drawing board. According to Jonathan Lerner, managing director of the Southampton and Scarsdale offices, he said they hope to have five offices in Westchester and two more in the Hamptons by 2011.
Meanwhile on the west coast Engel Volkers just finalized agreements to open offices in Beverly Hills, Bel Air and Westwood according to Mathias Bode, President of Engel & Volkers California. The first Engel and Volkers residential real estate shop in California is scheduled to open in July 2009.
