     - Mississippi State cruised past Memphis behind Vick Ballard's three rushing touchdowns

Saturday - September 3

Kent State @ Alabama
     - Alabama looks to kick of another championship season with a victory over Kent State
Missouri State @ Arkansas
     - Arkansas has become a trendy pick to win the national championship this year, beating out many of its SEC counterparts. They should easily roll past Missouri State
Utah State @ Auburn
     - Auburn seeks to repeat their BCS championship season last year and should easily get past Utah State before facing any real threats to their record
Florida Atlantic @ Florida
Boise State vs. Georgia
     - The SEC likes to say that it is the best conference in the nation and this matchup will test its mettle as the Broncos visit Atlanta to take on the Bulldogs
Oregon vs. LSU
     - In another battle to test the SEC's dominance LSU plays Oregon in Cowboys Stadium. The Tigers are considered a contender for a national championship but the recent loss of their first string quarterback following a bar fight could make this game against the Ducks a challenge.
Brigham Young @ Ole Miss
East Carolina vs. South Carolina
     - South Carolina and East Carlonia meet in Charlotte. East Carolina has a history of playing well against FBS competition and could derail South Carolina's hopes for a SEC title early.
