According
to a Los Angeles Times report Dodgers outfielder Manny Ramirez has tested
positive for performance-enhancing drugs and is expected to be suspended for 50
games by Major League Baseball.
The
suspension of Manny Ramirez is expected to be announced on Thursday and the LA
Times is saying the slugger will contend that the failed drug test was a result
of medication he was prescribed by a doctor.
Ramirez
has been an integral part of a Dodgers team that has posted MLB’s best record
at 21-8 and a 13-0 start at home, a modern day record. He is hitting .348 with
six homers and 20 RBIs.
