Brett Favre to Stay Retired, No Plans to Sign with Minnesota Vikings

Brett Favre has no plans of returning to the NFL and playing for the Minnesota Vikings in 2009 according to a report on Yahoo.com.

According to that report Favre, in the midst of his second retirement, told Vikings head coach Brad Childress that he had no desire to play in the NFL and was ready to move on with his life.

Earlier this week rumors began to circulate that Favre was entertaining the idea of a return following his release from the NY Jets. Favre had wanted to play for the Vikings last year but his former team, the Green Bay Packers, would not trade him to their NFC Central rival.

While the Favre rumors made headlines his agent, Bus Cook, never verified the reports or suggested that his client was ready to return.
