BrandStar’s The Balancing Act on Lifetime Television Features the Latest Revolution in Taking Your Vitamins

Store shelves are filled with vitamins and supplements, most in pill or liquid form.  When we use them, we expect to get all the nutrients promised on the label.  But a noted doctor says this isn’t true.  BrandStar Entertainment’s The Balancing Act on Lifetime Television is featuring Dr. David Friedman, a chiropractic physician and naturopathic physician, who has spent years developing a chewable whole food dietary supplement, Chews-4-Health, that claims to be absorbed better than other vitamins. The segment airs May 12th and in the weeks following and can also be seen anytime at www.thebalancingact.com/chews.

“There’s an old saying out there: ‘You are what you eat,’” says Dr. Friedman “I absolutely do not agree. It should say: ‘You are what you absorb,’ because it’s what your body uses that makes you what you are. This is especially true when it comes to vitamins and minerals.”

According to Friedman, The Physician’s Desk Reference – the manual used by all doctors – says many vitamins in pill form are only 10-percent absorbed.  Liquid vitamins are largely water,  and water must contain chemical preservatives – such as Sodium Benzoate, a substance used in fireworks, rocket fuel and silver polish. Traditional vitamins, which you swallow whole, are often only minimally absorbed by the body.

“We were meant to chew our food; it has to mix with saliva,” says Friedman, who formulated Chews-4-Health to be better absorbed by the body, therefore providing more USABLE healthful benefits.

Chews-4-Health is a smart choice for people of all ages, including children, and comes with 4 complexes: Super fruit complex (Goji, Noni, Mangosteen and Acai); anti-oxidant mix (Vitamin B-12, Folic Acid, Alpha Lipoic acid and Resveratrol); sea vegetable blend( dulse, kelp, bladderwack, and nori) and heart healthy select fruit concentrates (pomegranate, blueberry, cranberry, and raspberry.”

“All together,” he says, “it’s 16 ingredients I call ‘the best from land and sea.’”

“This is an interesting concept that I think our viewers will enjoy hearing about,” says Doug Campbell, Executive VP of Programming for BrandStar Entertainment, the producers of The Balancing Act. “As with all supplements, we encourage our viewers to check with their doctors before adding anything new to their regimen.”
