Coming to a Better Understanding of Mental Health and Brain Disorder Issues

Putting a special focus on substance abuse combined with mental health disorders

May is “Mental Health Month.”  The purpose behind Mental Health Month is to provide the public at large the opportunity to learn more about mental health related issues.

Unfortunately, even in this day and age – with 24 hour news programs on television and the ubiquitous Internet and World Wide Web – there still is a stigma attached to mental health issues and concerns.  One of the goals of Mental Health Month is to better educate the general public in regard to mental health topics and brain disorders.

Oftentimes an individual who is facing a mental health issue actually will end up with what is a dual diagnosis.  A dual diagnosis is one in which an individual faces both a mental health and an addiction issue.  When these individuals decide to seek treatment for their conditions, it is important to find and treatment programs, facilities and professionals that specialize in treatment of dual diagnosis.

Treatment Solutions Network, located at www.treatmentsolutionsnetwork.com, has the resources available to assist a person in connecting with a highly regarded and extremely reputable treatment or recovery program designed to aid and assist an individual who has a dual diagnosis of both a mental health issue and an addiction problem.

Treatment Solutions Network is also involving itself in a proactive manner during Mental Health Month by providing consumers and the community at large with accurate and relevant information pertaining to a dual diagnosis of a mental health condition or brain disorder and an addiction issue as well.
