Boston College Linebacker Mark Herzlich Diagnosed with Cancer

Mark Herzlich, the Boston College linebacker who was named the Atlantic Coast Conference defensive player of the year, has been diagnosed with cancer.

Herzlich announced he was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma earlier this week. Ewing’s Sarcome is a malignant tumor often found in bone or soft tissue. He says he will return to football after fighting the disease.
