Teen Summer Camp Teaches 21st Century Learning Skills
When it comes to teaching 21st century skills to high school students, SuperCamp sets the standard. High school students who participate in SuperCamp’s Senior Forum, the first and largest of SuperCamp’s three summer enrichment programs for kids and teens, regularly report higher grades and self-confidence throughout the school year after they graduate from the Senior Forum program.
Set on seven prominent college campuses across the United States including Stanford, Cornell, and Wake Forest Universities, SuperCamp’s Senior Forum promotes a mission of helping participants learn how to make the most of every moment, how to uncover their unique abilities, and develop greater confidence inside and outside the classroom while mastering strategies for academic success.
The skills campers learn in Senior Forum help ease school stress, build study skills, improve grades and increase test scores, including the SAT and ACT. Teens also learn life skills that help them discover their strengths on self-expression, peer relationships, trust in others, and maintain one’s individuality in a constantly changing world. Campers entering grades 9 – 12 learn new skills that prepare them for the next grade level and the next big step in their lives; college.
Aside from Stanford, Cornell, and Wake Forest Universities, SuperCamp’s Senior Forum, along with Junior Forum for middle school students, takes place on other regionally based campuses throughout the country. These campuses include, Cal-State San Marcos in North San Diego County, The University of Washington-Seattle, Colorado College in Colorado Springs, and Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
Now in its 28th summer, Senior Forum has accounted for the vast majority of SuperCamp’s 50,000+ graduates that have come to teen summer camps from all 50 states and from over 30 countries across the world.
