Academic Summer Camp Prepares Students for the ACT/SAT

Quantum Learning Network, a world leader in building life and learning skills for youth development and parent company of SuperCamp, a leading academic summer camp for kid and teens, recently surveyed SuperCamp graduate families to see what their graduates did after high school. The survey’s results were quite impressive.

77 percent of SuperCamp grads reported going from high school directly into a four-year college (the national average is 46 percent, as reported by the U.S. Department of Education.) 88 percent of graduates reported moving from high school directly into either a four-year or two-year college (the national average is only 65 percent). 41 percent of grads reported receiving some scholarship money and an impressive 57 percent of them indicated that they received over $10,000 in aid.

SuperCamp’s 10-day Senior Forum college preparation program provides high school students entering grades 9 -12 with academic and life skills. These
advanced learning skills help teens prepare for college with new knowledge that is critical for success at the next level. Over the course of the 10-day program, SuperCamp students spend time directly on ACT and SAT prep. In addition, much of the Quantum Strategies academic instruction helps with SAT and ACT prep, along with standardized test-taking.

SuperCamp’s ACT/SAT Prep course is specifically dedicated to teaching students test-taking skills in order to be more successful in their college preparation. In this session, facilitators compare and show the differences between the ACT and SAT tests, giving an overview of both and discussing how each test is uniquely scored. Students are also taken on a “behind the scenes tour” of both tests by sharing ACT and SAT test strategies, techniques and tips. The course concludes with students taking sample ACT and SAT test questions to show campers the thought process to use when taking both exams.

Throughout the 10-day teen motivation and
academic achievement program, students also receive training in Quantum Writing, Quantum Reading, and Math Mastery. For more information on Quantum Learning academics, research and results, SuperCamp, and enrollment, call 1800-28-LEARN, or visit www.SuperCamp.com.
