Homeland Insecurity is a close study, by former FBI clinical psychologist Puckett, of eleven Washington politicians, who suffering from the addiction to power, have compromised national security. Likening the addiction to that of alcohol and cocaine, Dr. Puckett examines the detrimental behavior patterns of the eleven and the disorder the addiction creates in the perspective of the politicians. Mr. Turchie, a skilled investigator and a former FBI official, connects the dots in the behavior patterns of the eleven and clearly illustrates how the eleven politicians have compromised national security in order to satisfy their addiction.
Mr. Turchie is a retired Assistant Deputy Director of the FBI and Dr. Puckett, a retired FBI Special Agent and clinical psychologist, is a founder of the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Program.
Homeland Insecurity has also been nominated for the prestigious Benjamin Franklin Award by IBPA, the Independent Book Publisher Association for the university and Independent publishers of America and for the BOYA, the book of the year award given by Foreword Magazine the premier trade publication for the librarian, and the university and independent publisher. The winners will be announced at the Book Expo America to be held in New York City on May 28th and 29th.
