Second Generation iPod touch Repairs Announced

Now the tricky 2nd Gen iPod touch can be repaired when the worst happens.

The iPod and iPhone repair shop milliamp.com has just added an extensive selection of iPod touch repair products and services for Apple's Second Gen iPod touch.

This is surprising news for those familiar with the iPod repair business, since the 2nd gen iPod touch is especially thin, quite fragile, and quite hard to get into without damage.  The shop has already been fixing the first Gen iPod touch (or iTouch) ever since that model was first sold, but it has required some time to become expert at the second Gen iPod touch.

"Learning how to fix the second Generation iPod touch was a pricey adventure, but very gratifying when we at last became proficient at the procedure.", commented the founder of milliamp.com, Anthony Magnabosco.

The San Antonio-based repair business is now providing iPod touch battery replacements, iPod touch LCD replacements, iPod touch screen replacements, and iPod touch backplate replacements for the 2nd gen version in addition to the 1st gen.  And for customers who aren’t certain just what is amis with their Second Generation iPod touch, they also provide a repair evaluation service, where a tech will check out the device and tell the customer just which repairs would be required to get the device functional again.

These services are in addition to the multiple other iPhone repair and iPod repair services and products available on the milliamp.com site.

"Those who own 2nd Gen iPod touch units at long last have an option when they break the iPod touch LCD or have a battery that is not maintaining a charge for as long as it used to.", said Magnabosco.  Up until this, iPod touch users with the Second Gen version had to throw away the costly, damaged unit in the trash.  Now, these people have a new choice when their unit gets broken or stops functioning as it used to in some way.

"It was rough to have to give folks the disappointing news when they approached us by email or telephone, hoping to have their Second Gen iPod touch repaired.", commented Troy Harris, the Senior Repair Manager at milliamp.com.  "But finally, we are happy to be receiving these specific questions, and to be equipped to assist yet another happy customer.", he continued.

The 2nd Generation iPod touch has exterior volume controls on the left side of the unit, while the first Gen iPod touch has none.  The shape and location of the black antenna cover plate is also different on the two types.
