While it is well known throughout the world that Narconon is synonymous with community involvement, a new color brochure released just days ago highlights the true grassroots nature of this network of drug and alcohol rehabilitation and prevention specialist.
It is not a secret that literally every nook and cranny of the planet has been devastated by drugs and alcohol. Families are ripped apart; communities are shattered; whole economies are crippled by an onslaught of illegal and prescription drug sales and the demoralization that accompanies their usage. “it is easy to see how people everywhere could look around in their communities, see nothing but overwhelming problems associated with drugs and the crime harbored by them, and simply attempt to hide in their homes hoping that somehow, someday, it will just all go away”, explained Mike Otto, head of community involvement at Narconon Arrowhead. This new brochure comes at a time when the truth of how much we can do is so badly needed.
The community brochure highlights the fact that the Narconon Network of drug and alcohol rehabilitation and prevention specialist have been working diligently – side by side with groups and towns people for over 4 decades now. In a recent quote the Executive Director for Narconon Arrowhead explained “I am bursting with pride. I have been with Narconon for well beyond 30 years and I have seen the most amazing acts of good will and sheer dedication to help, from fellow staff arm-in-arm with community leaders and volunteers. When I see the brochure it just reminds me of how many good friends we have throughout the world. Friends who, like us, know that you don’t just give up and that there is hope – that we can do something to help kids, those addicted and everyone.”
Narconon Arrowhead has copies of the brochure in production currently and has made it available as a free download on their website http://www.narcononarrowhead.org. Megan Thorpe from the community outreach division of Narconon Arrowhead stated “this is a brochure of hope and help. Our goal is to share it with everyone so that they can see not only how the Narconon staff throughout the world step up to the plate for their community but also to highlight those community members who step up to the plate with Narconon. It really does take all of us and we want to expand this awareness so that more and more people realize we can do something about the drug problem that is plaguing our nation.”
Narconon Arrowhead
has a long term drug and alcohol rehabilitation program in which over 70 % of
graduates actually leave their addiction behind for good. The Narconon
