Less
than two weeks after Chad accused Sudan of violating a reconciliation agreement
by backing rebel attacks inside their country the roles have now been reversed
as Sudan has blamed Chad for a series of air strikes that are now being called
an act of war.
Chad
and Sudan have long accused each other of supporting rebel activity inside the other’s
territory yet both countries have denied the allegations.
Friday’s
air raids were said to have been about 40 miles inside Sudan but no causalities
have been reported. Sudan is said to be weighing their options and have not
ruled out a counter strike with their military.
