Brett Favre scheduled for surgery

There have been some recent concerns regarding Brett Favre’s injured shoulder.  He is scheduled to meet with well know orthopedist Dr. James Andrews this Thursday in Alabama.  They will be discussing surgery on his shoulder that is scheduled for later this week according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

During the surgery they will repair a partially torn bicep tendon in Brett’s right arm.  The recovery is scheduled to take six to eight weeks.

Favre who is 39 was released from his contract with the Jets, thus making him a free agent, which gives him the option to sign with any team.
