WoodstockStory.com has just announced a new contest which will give away free tickets to the Heroes of Woodstock 2009 tour when it comes back to Bethel for the 40th Anniversary. The concert, which will feature original Woodstock 1969 bands such as Canned Heat, Jefferson Starship, Ten Years After, Melanie, The Grateful Dead's Tom Constanten, and Big Brother and the Holding Company, will take place at the Bethel Center For The Arts on the property which was formerly Max Yasgur’s dairy farm on August 15th.
If you are looking to see some of the original Woodstock ‘69 performers, this show is chock full of them. In order to be eligible for the tickets, contestants must submit their Woodstock story no later than July 15th. Stories will be voted on by registered users (sign up is free) and ranked on a scale of one to five stars. It should be noted that these are not Woodstock 2009 tickets, rather tickets to the Heroes of Woodstock tour scheduled for August 15th at the original Woodstock festival location. To register and submit, please visit the Woodstock stories section.
In all, WoodstockStory.com is giving away 5 pairs of tickets to the event. Because the show is sure to sell out quickly, readers are encouraged to spread the word and even forward the link to their friends to help judge the contest.
