Jay Bennett, Former Wilco Member, Found Dead

Musician Jay Bennett was found dead in his home over the weekend. Bennett, 45, died in his sleep Saturday night. The cause of death has not been determined. An autopsy will be performed.

“We are profoundly saddened to report that our friend died in his sleep last night. Jay was a beautiful human being who will be missed,” Bennett’s record label Undertow Music Collective said in a statement on their web site.

Bennett was a member of Wilco from 1994 to 2001. He was a founding member of Titanic Love Affair.
