Many pet owners often dismiss problems in their senior cats and dogs as just a part of the aging process. She urges pet owners to talk to their veterinarians as soon as they see any changes in their pets’ behavior – particularly senior pets.

CDS, often referred to as pet senility, is characterized by a deterioration of cognitive abilities including spatial orientation, activity levels, and response to stimuli.
