High School and College Students Learn 21st Century Skills in the Rockies

SuperCamp, a leader in teen academic and life skills achievement has brought its summer enrichment program to the heart of the Rockies. Located at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, the school has played host to thousands of students who have looked to increase their leadership, academic and personal life skills through two uniquely distinct programs.

Colorado College, which is known to be one of the strongest liberal arts colleges west of the Mississippi river, is located at the foot of Pikes Peak in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains and offers breathtaking mountain views from every point on campus. Summer weather in Colorado Springs is almost always ideal, providing an excellent environment for learning and summer fun. The two different programs that SuperCamp offers cater to students at the high school and college levels.

Senior Forum and Leadership Team are designed for students entering grades 9 through 12 in the fall, and will be hosted July 22 – 31 and August 3 - 12. Senior Forum students learn to make the most of every moment, uncover their unique abilities, and develop greater confidence while mastering strategies for academic and personal success. The skills campers learn through the Senior Forum program help to ease school stress, build study skills, improve grades, and increase test scores, including the SAT and ACT.  Students also learn life skills that encourage them to discover their strengths, pursue goals, make big decisions, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.

Quantum U, which is designed for students both entering college and already in college, is slated for August 2 – 9. This eight-day program stands alone among college prep camps. Quantum U teaches students how to handle intense and sometimes overwhelming classes, unstructured time schedules, professors and their high expectations, personal finances, and more. Participants also learn how to manage their time and energy more efficiently. By doing so, college students gain added focus and confidence as they elevate their communication, presentation, study, writing, and reading skills. For students already in college, this program also teaches tools that will aid their development in leadership and communication in preparation for job interviews and a career after college.
