Pakistani Taliban Claims Responsibility for Lahore Blast, Threatens More Violence

The Pakistani Taliban has claimed responsibility for Wednesday’s attack in Lahore which left at least 24 people dead and hundreds more injured. On top of claiming responsibility the Pakistani Taliban has threatened to launch more attacks as the Pakistani military continues to fight the insurgents.

According to reports Wednesday’s deadly blast, targeting police and security buildings, was in response to the offensive against Taliban fighters in the Swat valley. The Taliban has claimed that the recent attacks in the Swat valley have killed a large number of civilians.

Pakistani Taliban has already promised to launch further attacks against “government targets,” warning residents of Lahore, Islamabad, Multan and Rawalpindi to evacuate.
