Suncoast Rehabilitation Center Reaches Out During National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month

By: Derek A. Queener

National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month started over 20 years ago to make people aware of the worldwide problem of addiction and to celebrate the achievements of drug rehab/alcohol rehab and those in recovery.  Suncoast Rehabilitation Center recognizes that in the United States alone we have an estimated 23.1 million Americans suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. In September, many alcohol and drug rehab centers such as Suncoast Rehab in Spring Hill, Florida are taking the necessary steps to reach out to those struggling with addiction and to the loved ones they destroy along the way.

It takes a lot of courage to enter a drug rehab/alcohol rehabilitation program. Most people might believe that those of us with drug or alcohol addictions have nothing else in our lives while we are using or that we are on the streets and at least in drug treatment we have a roof over our heads. This could not be further from the truth. Drug and alcohol addiction does not discriminate and those affected range from corporate executive millionaires to day laborers to school teachers to part-time assistants and everyone in-between.

At Suncoast Rehab we have been a part of the recovery process for people at both ends of the socioeconomic ladder and the end result for each is exactly the same; their lives and the relationships they destroyed with their addictions are repaired.

We would like to send special congratulations to those who are now celebrating their lives drug and alcohol free. The challenges that you all have overcome are not as simple as just not using drugs or alcohol. This transformation from addict to asset in society is both physical and mental and is more difficult than most could ever imagine.

This physical and mental addiction results in many relapses for those addicted to drugs and alcohol. At Suncoast Rehabilitation Center, we address in drug rehab both of these areas with a sauna detoxification and the search for the cause of the clients continual drug abuse. Once the physical cravings are no longer present and the reason for the behavior is addressed and repaired, the likelihood of relapse is greatly reduced.

At Suncoast Rehab our goal is to send our clients back to their loved ones drug and alcohol free so they can once again be productive members of society.

Once again we congratulate those in recovery for their great achievement and ask those in need of drug or alcohol rehabilitation to contact someone immediately to get the help you need. To the families who watch their sons, daughters, mothers or fathers headed down the road to nowhere, don’t wait, tomorrow may be too late!  Call us now at 800-511-9403 and see us at our website at www.suncoastrehabcenter.com.  You can also contact one of our Suncoast Rehab counselors directly by email (available day or night).
