QLN Plans Follow-Up Professional Development Workshop for Nashville in July
In conjunction with the Quantum Learning for Teachers professional development workshop scheduled for July 9-10, Quantum Learning Network has added a second advanced workshop in Nashville, Tennessee from July 14-16, at the Martin Professional Development Center. Encouraged to attend are Principal/Teacher teams, Assistant Principals, District Staff Development Directors, and Curriculum and Instruction Directors who have completed QLT levels 1 and 2 in previous programs.
The goal of the workshop is to further provide educators with the "how-to" for more effective content delivery and classroom management, and to help them build a repertoire of teaching methods and tools that effectively engage every student in the classroom – resulting in the improvement of grades, motivation, and confidence.
Day one of the continuing program is dedicated to learning how students learn, and delivering content with brain-considerate tools. Day two shows educators the best practices that promote optimal comprehension and retention; with the third day focusing on how to close the education gap by putting what works into the classroom.
Quantum Learning has been approved by the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory for their National Catalog of School Reform Models and is accredited by the Commission of International and Transregional Accreditation (CITA) and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Results have shown that after Quantum Learning advanced learning skills training, students show an 89 percent increase in self-esteem, 73 percent increase in grade improvement, 68 percent increase in attendance, and a 68 percent increase in positive behavior.
Quantum Learning for Teachers provides a proven research-based approach to the design and delivery of curriculum. The program synthesizes the best teaching practices into an effective, comprehensive model, turning abstract theory into practical techniques that can be immediately applied in a classroom and school setting, and arms teachers with the tools to engage students and get them excited about learning. Quantum Learning for Teachers is the orchestration of teaching methods and strategies that engage students – and lead them to many more “moments of learning.”
Quantum Learning is based on 28 years of experience and research with over 50,000 students and 40,000 educators across the United States being positively impacted through QL workshops and SuperCamp's academic summer camps. The QL methodology boosts teachers’ ability to inspire and students’ ability to achieve, providing important distinctions for what really works in the classroom.
