Ne-Yo is set to become a father and a husband! The rapper and longtime girlfriend Monyetta Shaw are engaged and expecting their second child together, Us Weekly magazine reports. Sources say the baby is due to arrive in October.
Ne-Yo and Shaw are already parents to Madilyn Grace, 10 months. The rapper recently spoke to People magazine about fatherhood and Madilyn’s latest accomplishments. “[Fatherhood] has been a ride, but I’m loving every minute of it,” he said.
“[Maddie]‘s been trying to walk since she was two months old,” the rapper revealed. “She’ll grab your hands and pull herself up and do a little wobble dance. She likes scooting along the wall. She moves really fast.”
“She definitely knows her worth — which is a beautiful thing. That’s something I’ve tried to instill in her from day one: understand that you are a Godsend,” Ne-Yo added. “You’re an absolute angel and people are supposed to treat you that way. She’s extremely diva even at 10 months.”
